TaylorMade has made quite a name for themselves over the years. While they had been a successful golf equipment and apparel company since being founded by Gary Adams in 1979, the company’s popularity skyrocketed in the 2000s. The main reason this took place was because TaylorMade, which was bought by Adidas in 1997, set a goal to be the #1 driver company in golf. Well, not only did they succeed, but they exceeded their own expectations. Their drivers became so popular that in 2006, they became only the second golf equipment and apparel company to achieve over one billion dollars in revenue. TaylorMade drivers are also used by the majority of PGA professionals.
There are several drivers TaylorMade designs and sells. We will cover a few of the more popular drivers, but let’s cover the most popular one first. The TaylorMade Men’s Burner 460 Ti Driver has received incredible customer feedback. 89% of customers have been more than satisfied with this product. This is a very high number for any product, let alone golf clubs. The price for the 460 Ti Driver is $359, but it can be found online for between $139 to $300.

What makes the 460 Ti Driver so popular? It’s extremely light, which improves clubhead speed. This, in turn, leads to more distance on drives. TaylorMade’s SuperFast technology has brought the weight of this club down to 299 grams, which is 21 grams less than average. This club also offers great height, which is due to the center of gravity being far back on the bullet-shaped clubhead. The MOI (Moment of Inertia) is over 5800, the clubhead is 460cc, and the club is 46 inches in length. Many players especially appreciate the large clubhead, as it allows for a larger margin of error. The key to using this club is to trust it. If you let the club do the work, you will see surprisingly pleasing results.
There are a couple of other drivers you should know about. The TaylorMade Men’s r7 Draw 460 Ti Driver is for those who want to fix a constant fade. And the TaylorMade r9 Driver is a few hundred dollars more than the two listed above, but well worth the investment. It’s customizable and designed for those who want to adjust the face, lie, and/or loft. Due to this club’s inverted cone technology, it will also allow for maximum distance on miss-hits.
TaylorMade sells many more drivers for many different purposes. If you put a little research in, you should be able to find whatever you’re looking for.
